Ladies night out

Open to all female residents of Eagle Ridge, age 18 years and up. Held on the 3rd Friday of each month, unless otherwise notified. Hostesses are made up of generous volunteers who are willing to open up their home to others. For each event, we ask that all guests bring an appetizer, dessert, or drink to share. Hostess provides paper products, and sodas, and whatever else she wishes. On occasion, the hostess may choose to have a themed party, which is always lots of fun, and every once in awhile, we may schedule a trip outside the neighborhood for dinner, dancing, or a movie. Schedules are created at the end of each year, so please start thinking about 2008!!

Thank you so much to all of our hostesses. We have many new volunteers this year. I hope everyone will take a much deserved break each month and join us for some fun. Please be aware that there may be changes as the year progresses, so with each new month, be sure to check your emails for updates. Also, if you are a hostess, and your address is not above, please email me, as I could not find you in the directory, and of course, if you would like to host a certain theme, you can give me that info. as well. I will send out reminders as the dates approach. Thanks again!

Mommy and Me Playgroup

Mommy and Me is primarily an Eagle Ridge playgroup that provides fun, friendship, and a much needed opportunity to get to know other Mommy's that "know what you are going through". Oh, and it's great for the kids too! Children ages 0-5 are welcome, and during summer/track out, siblings may also attend.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th week of each month from 10:30-12:30. Participants take turns hosting the playgroups throughout the year, either at their home, or on a "field trip" of the hostesses choice. We are going on our 4th year and have many long term participants, as well as many new ones, so don't be shy about getting involved! It really is a special blessing to build long lasting friendships with neighbors and the children!

Eagle Ridge Empty Nesters

Eagle Ridge Empty Nesters is a great way to meet your neighbors and form lasting friendships…while having fun in the process. This group is for anyone without children in the home—i.e. the empty nest. We have forty-eight couples and five singles in the group so far. The purpose of the group, besides the fun and fellowship, is to share in activities. Some of the things the group has done are cookouts, a trip to Biltmore House, dinner at Cattails and a ballgame at the Mudcats Stadium, dinner at Biaggi’s, bingo, game night, buffets at the golf club, gatherings at each other’s homes, etc. If you’d like to join this fun group, call Helen Cardwell or Sue Warner (numbers in neighborhood directory).
